Education

University of British Columbia Okanagan 2021-2025

During my time at the University of British Columbia I obtained a Bachelors degree in Management with Honours. I have always firmly believed that regardless of what university you go to, it is up to you to make the most of the experience and education. This is why during my time here I joined the JDC West club, became a Teaching Assistant, and in my first year joined the RBC Case Competition. Furthermore, to expand my skillset, I decided to take several Computer Science courses as my electives where I increased my knowledge in coding. This helped me step outside my comfort zone as I never had any experience with coding before and I now have basic knowledge of several languages, including Java, JavaScript, R, and Python. After graduation, I have continued to pursue different forms of learning through taking courses online, including the Udemy The Complete Digital Marketing Course.

Centennial Secondary School 2019-2021

In the middle of High School my family and I moved from Indonesia to Canada where I attended Centennial Secondary School in my district. This was a challenging experience for me as though I am Canadian, I had never lived here, I didn’t know anyone, and I was unfamiliar with the school system. Despite this, I put my best foot forward and made the most of my last 2 years in high school. At Centennial I was a member of a social issues podcast called Let’s Talk About it Cent, where we would conduct thorough research on social justice topics and record a public podcast to shine light on these issues. I also had the chance to take AP Psychology, which after passing the exam allowed me to gain credits for university.

British School Jakarta 2007-2019

My time at British School Jakarta (BSJ) played a significant role in shaping my academic foundation and global perspective. Growing up in an international environment exposed me to diverse cultures, ideas, and ways of thinking that continue to influence how I approach collaboration and problem-solving today. During my time at BSJ I was a member of the junior varsity then varsity tennis team where I won multiple awards including Team Contribution, and Most Valuable Player. Additionally in my last year at BSJ I was a member of the varsity volleyball team which was a new experience for me as I had played tennis for most of my life and hadn’t branched out to play other sports competitively. Being part of these teams allowed me to travel across South East Asia to different schools to compete which I was very grateful to be able to do. Additionally, being able to take the IGCSE program aided me in being able to pick courses that I had an interest in. This led me to take Art, Business, and French as some of my chosen courses. The strong academic foundation that I obtained from BSJ aided in shaping my strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in my studies, and professional pursuits.
